Garden Plans > 2011: Late bloomers

About this Garden Plan

My first vegetable garden. I started the seeds earlier this month indoors. Some of them are late, but I am doing it anyways. This week I am breaking the ground with a pickaxe and shovel (whistling Hi ho, hi ho). The soil is extremely sandy, like a sand box without organic matter. I thought about adding manure or potting soil and mixing it in. Any suggestions before the seeds go into the ground?
