Plan Notes

For sripng, summer, early fall crops: try to plant as early as posible so I can get a higher yield and have them growing for as long as posible Cover crops, wheat: plant when other crops are harvested, harvest as soon as possible, or a few weeks before crops must be planted Medicinal garden: use for doctoring along with other nutraly found plants and trees such as yellow birch and red spruce Bee hive: for honey, polinating plants, and medicinal uses Compost: to recycle plant matter and to keep OM and other nutrients up in garden Fence: to help keep deer and other animals out of garden Pond: for supply of water if shortage or drought happens, have fish in there for food if needed and nutrients in the water for plants Raised beds: to keep things seperate and used when plant needs it Row cover: to keep plants warm when needed Small shed: to keep tools and other suplies Green House: used to start plants early and to keep them going longer if needed. Could grow other more indoor plants as well. Shale paths: I used shale becuase it is found all over the island so it is a natural source Sand in Green house: I did this to keep the soil well drained for walking and because the plants would be raised off of the ground for more controled conditions Cold Frame: to use for plants to over winter or if frost comes early or stays late Tower planter: for letus, or other greens, also a good way to start plants Containers: to hold new or over wintered crops Container/Trough: to hold new or over wintered crops In yard: apple trees, peach tree, two medium ponds one with overload of minnows, metal to use if needed for irrigation, other planters...., good hunting: deer, other small animals, good amount of wood for heat, wood stove, well, couple of springs, highest part of island good veiw point Irrigation: not using becuase no power in Apocalypse, all hand done
